The set of components, for cladding and insulating pipes is esp. suitable for use in old buildings or other places, where pipes have been subsequently installed and mar the appearance of the interior. Shaped rails (5) can be attached on both sides, parallel to the pipes (2,4). They incorporate continuous grooves, pockets or other insertion spaces, engaged by box profile sections (6,7) with corresponding bends on their two resilient outside arms. The rails may be plastic shaped battens, with a continuous U-shaped pocket along one edge, and with evenly spaced holes (53).
