Impedance matching wideband transformer - has windings consisting of metal such as copper coated onto plastics foil

The copper coated insulating foil is wound on the core of the transformer. The width of metal coating at contact points is such, that conductor impedances at these points match the impedances to be connected there. Between the contact points the metal coating width continuously increases of decreases in order to give the required transformer characteristics.
