<p>1527907 Ventilators LUWAAG 17 Oct 1975 [22 Oct 1974] 42799/75 Heading F4V An outlet 12 for mounting in an opening in a side wall of a horizontally extending air distribution duct 10 comprises curved guide vanes 16, 18, 20, 21 defining channels 24, 26, 28 which are each convergent in a downstream direction, the attitude angle of successive vanes to the direction A of air flow through the duct 10 increasing from the upstream side 17 to the downstream side 19 of the outlet and the length of successive vanes in the direction of air flow through the channels increasing from said upstream side to said downstream side. One side 32 of a bounding frame for the outlet provides a smooth transition from the wall of the duct to a channel 22 between vane 16 and side 32. Portions 20<SP>11</SP>, 21<SP>11</SP> of vanes 20, 21 may be rotatable about reduced cross-section portions of the vanes to close the channels 26, 28. Portion 21<SP>11</SP> may be moved into contact with portion 20<SP>11</SP>, and portion 20<SP>11</SP> may be moved, by further rotation of portion 21<SP>11</SP>, into contact with vane 18. Alternatively, portions 20<SP>11</SP>, 21<SP>11</SP> may be moved simultaneously. The outlet is made of synthetic plastics material.</p> |
