A forestry vehicle is used for communicating waste wood and feeding it into the soil. The vehicle (1) has wheels (2) from the peripheral surfaces of which protrude webs (4) with knife blades (6). Pref. the vehicle has four-wheel drive, and the wheels are dual- or multi-track, with a gap having a width equal to a track width between adjacent tracks. In front of the wheels in the direction of travel of the vehicle may be a breastplate which spans the width of the vehicle, and which pushes over tree trunks with its lower edge. It has downwardly extending projections (14,16) acting as a guide (12) which extends into the gaps between rows of trees in a stand, and which holds each tree trunk away from the gap during tipping into the horizontal position.
