The system is designed to achieve a wideband matching. A real part of the diode (1) impedance is transformed into the strip line (2) characteristic impedance by an exponentially tapered line which is at least half wavelength long line. At the same time its reactive component is compensated by a stub line (6) at a distance (a) of approx. a quarter wavelength from the diode (1) and on the same side as the tapered line (3).
