A quasi-statistical pulse train (PF) is applied during its first cycle through an n-stage shift register (SR) to the n programme inputs (P1-Pn) of an n-stage counter (Z). This counter is so externally pre-programmed in accordance with the pulse train content, that only each ((2n+1)/2) -th pulse from a second cycle (f1), smaller than and completely independent from the first (f2) can reach the output of the counter (Z). The system ensures that the average repetition frequency of the signals is kept low.
