The oven parts include a bottom plate with a groove into which a hood can be fitted. The open inclined end of the hood is closed by a cover with an observation window, a thermometer and a channel with a stopper which can be filled with water. Rye bread cannot be baked in a domestic oven with sheet metal lining because it does not provide the very slowly dropping temp. from a heat storing lining which is needed for good rye bread. The new oven can be inserted and bakes excellent rye bread.
