PURPOSE:The degree of ripening is positively examined by noticing the phenomena by which the surroundings of the calyx of fruits discolors last, projecting light in annular form to the surrounding of the calyx, detecting the red and green components of the light reflected therefrom and comparing the ratios between the two components. |
