<p>An integral, or partly integrated system with a compressor at one end of the core and a turbine at the other end both mounted on a shaft passing through the core, has an inner pressure jacket closely hugging the core between the two rotating assemblies so that an annular space for the recirculation of the hot reduced pressure gases from the turbine is formed, into which the hot surfaces of heat exchangers may be introduced without impeding the gas flow.</p> |
