Secateurs with arms spring biassed into open position - have spring forming non round eye for angular region of joint pin

Secateurs comprise two arms (11,12) with cutting edges, which are biassed into the open position by a spring (21) and which can be fixed in a given angular position by a lock. The spring forms a non-round eye (27) for receiving in positive locking relationship an angular region (25) of a joint pin (13). Above the angular region of the pin is an annular groove (29) for guiding several turns of the spring without obstruction, while the free outwardly bent end (22) of the spring is fixed in a bore (23) in a central widened zone (15) of one arm (11). In the central widened zone may be a tear-shaped recess (20) in which is disposed the bore for the end of the spring. The other arm (12) comprises in its widened central zone (14) a star-shaped bearing point (30) coacting with the angular region of the joint pin.
