Joint for hollow frame members - has spreadable levers in one member engageable with undercut groove on other member

The joint is for connecting two hollow frame members in edge to edge relationship and has in the first member an undercut groove (17) into which are inserted one end of a pair of double-ended levers (12,13) mounted in the other section. The levers are biased by springs (31, 29) into a position where their first ends are pressed together. The other ends of the levers are connected by a screw having a head accessible through a hole in the wall of the frame member. When the screw is tightened the one ends of the levers are spread to engage thegroove and so connect the members.
