The individual metal plates are stacked into piles for electrical apparatus such as laminated transformer cores. A stop (21) is adjustable in the direction of movement of the fed metal, and is adjusted by a servo drive (23). The degree of adjustment depends on the programme-controlled metal cutting machine fitted in the processing run in front of it. The stop is drawn back leaving the longer metal plates to advance to a predetermined point ("a"). For the alternate pairs of shorter metal plates, the stop is moved forward so that the plates stop at a point ("b"). During its forward movement, the metal plates lies on the guide ledges, and during the return movement is pushed by the roller until it hits the stop. The guide ledges are moved outwards by a further servo drive until the end of the metal plate falls down and places itself on the existing stack.
|
