<p>1494695 Pyridine derivatives BASF AG 8 April 1975 [9 April 1974] 14334/75 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] Pyridine derivatives of the formula where the two radicals hal and XCO are in ortho position to each other; and hal denotes Cl, Br or I; and X denotes NHR<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>1</SP> denoting cycloalkyl of 5-6 carbon atoms, cyclohexyl substituted by hydroxy, methyl, ethyl, isopropyl or by ethynyl; phenyl; naphthyl, indanyl; pyridyl or pyrimidyl which may be substituted by methyl, amino and/or hydroxy; or the radical n denoting one of integers 1, 2, 3 and 4 and Y denoting C 1 -C 4 alkyl, F. Cl, Br, I, hydroxy, amino, phenyl, C 1 -C 3 alkoxy, acetyl, benzoyl, trifluoromethyl, phenoxy, chlorophenoxy, hydroxycarbonyl, C 1 -C 4 alkoxycarbenzyl, hydroxylcarbonylmethyl or nitro; or X denotes NR<SP>3</SP>OR<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>2</SP> denoting H or methyl and R<SP>3</SP> denoting cyclohexyl; or a salt thereof are prepared. Examples of these compounds are 2-homonicotinic anilide 2-chloronicotinic acid- N-hydroxy-N cyclohexylamide, 2-chloronicotinic anilide, 2-chloronicothic acid 2<SP>1</SP>,3<SP>1</SP>-dimethylanilide and 2-chloronicotinic acid 4<SP>1</SP>-(pchlorophenoxy)-anilide and typical methods of preparation are described.</p> |
