1406562 Steam-cracking catalysts RHONEPROGIL 6 July 1973 [7 July 1972] 32344/73 Heading B1E [Also in Division C5] Catalysts containing a calcium or barium aluminate and having a surface area of 1-10 m<SP>2</SP>/g and a pore volume of 0.05-0.20 cc/g are made by crushing a fritted mass of a mixture of Al 2 O 3 and CaO or BaO, agglomerating the resulting powder, maturing the agglomerates in water and calcining the matured agglomerates. The catalysts may also contain up to 2 wt % of oxides of rare earth metals, iron group metals, Ti, Zr, U and/or W. |
