PURPOSE:To obtain a processed cloth by using a processing agent capable of imparting a fabric with a performance such as water-repellency, applying a solution of the processing agent to a releasing paper to form a coating film, laminating the paper to a cloth and hot-pressing the laminate, thereby imparting a processed surface of the cloth with a performance different from the properties of the non-processed surface. CONSTITUTION:A solution or dispersion of a processing agent (e.g. fluorine-based water-repellent agent) is applied to a releasing paper to form a coating film. A cloth is placed on the coating film layer and the laminate is hot-pressed. The releasing paper is peeled off from the cloth to obtain a processed cloth having one or both processed surface layers exclusively exhibiting a performance different from the other part of the cloth. A processed cloth having thin coating layer can be produced by this process scarcely varying the feeling, gas- permeability, moisture permeability, etc., of the base cloth. |
