PURPOSE:To lighten financial burden and to decrease ozone quantity by irradiating the inside of a duct which guides ozone outside the box body to decrease the ozone quantity, with a destaticizing light to carry out destaticizing of an electrophotographic photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The ozone is generated in an electrifying device 1 and it is exhausted outside the box body by an exhausting fan 6 after being passed through an exhausting duct 4 and an ozone filter 5. Then the light emitted from a destaticizing device 3 is guided inside this exhausting duct 4. It is widely known that the ozone absorbs light of wave length 305nm or under and between 405 to 1,100nm, and to dissociate into O2 and O, and the dissociated O forms 2O2 with O3. To cause this reaction, light of wave length of approximately 710nm and under is appropriate, and the wave length of the destaticizing light of the lazy printer is from 600 to 700nm. Thus the financial burden is lightened, and the ozone quantity emitted from the product can be decreased without leading to the enlargening of the product. |
