1382379 Gaming machines BELL-FRUIT MFG CO Ltd 22 June 1973 29713/73 Heading A6H [Also in Division G4] In a gaming machine comprising a set, e.g. three as shown, of rotatable discs R each of which is spun and stopped at random by a latch L at one of a plurality of stop positions during each game to determine one or more symbols in a combination displayed to the player, there is associated with each disc a binary counter C which cyclically changes its state in step with the rotation of the disc R and which assumes a corresponding state for each of the stop positions, the input pulses of the counter being derived from sensing means including a light source F, a disc B fast with the disc R and provided with a series of holes equal in number to the number of stop positions of the disc R, and two photocells P1, P2, the latter providing one reset pulse for the counter for each complete revolution of the disc R. The outputs from each counter C are converted into signals characteristic of the stop positions by a binary/decimal decoder E, and logic circuitry including NOR gates G analyses the signals from all the counters to produce win signals when the stop positions correspond to a prize winning combination. |
