The printing machine for lotto cards utilises a printing pressure which can be increased to such a level that copies can be printed using the transfer copying process. The pressure unit comprises a roller system (17) which moves along the printing plane of the printing mechanism and has at least two rollers (25, 29) which rotate relative to one another about parallel or conincident axes. One roller (25) is a pressure roller which during movement of the roller system runs on the card. The other roller is a counter pressure roller (29) which runs along a counter-pressure surface which is parallel to the direction movement.
