<p>Oiled paper binding for insulation of HT transducers and other appts. comprises feather paper ends which are pressed against the active component by interchangeable, correspondingly shaped and guided compression rings, and held in this position by welding to PVC films or e.g. by hot adhesion of the feathered ends. Due to the low cost, the paper layer can be larger than normal partic. at the critical end positions, to eliminate any risk of breakdown where the feathered paper ends are not completely sealed or lying flat. The device can be used both for current transformers and voltage transformers. The outer dielectric shielding can be mfd. from conductive solid cylinders and end rings so as to eliminate risk of breakdown due to the shielding surfaces becoming corrugated.</p> |
