1278024 Biological detergent composition PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 21 July 1970 [23 July 1969] 35262/70 Heading C5D An enzyme-detergent composition stabilized against loss of enzymatic activity comprises (a) 1-65% of an organic detergent, (b) 0À01- 3% of calcium ion in the form of a watersoluble calcium salt, (c) 0À01-5% of an alkali metal thiosulphate, and (d) 60-40,000 amylase units per gram. Detergents specified include: the ammonium sulphate of trioxyethylenated coconut fatty alcohol containing C 10-16 alkyl groups, the sodium sulphonate of glycerolcoconut fatty alcohol ether, 3-(N,N-dimethyl- N-coconut alkyl ammonio) - 2 - hydroxypropane - 1 - sulphonate, coconut alkyl dimethylamine oxide, an adduct of 20 moles of ethylene oxide and 1 mole of coconut fatty alcohol, 1- (coconut alkyl - dimethylammonio) - propane sulphonate, a mixture of tri-, tetra- and pentapropylene alkyl benzene sulphonates, coconut fatty alcohol ammonium sulphate and coconut fatty acid monoethanolamide. Calcium salts specified include calcium acetate, chloride, citrate, glycerol phosphate, gluconate, glucoheptanate, lactate, leoninate, lactobionate, malate, lactophosphate, succinate and maleate. Alkali metal thiosulphates specified include sodium thiosulphate and potassium thiosulphate. The amylase may be derived from Bacillus subtilis. The composition may also include a protease derived from Bacillus subtilis, a solubilizing agent, e.g. ethanol, a viscosity control agent, e.g. potassium toluene sulphonate and potassium xylene sulphonate, an opacifier, e.g. ethylene glycol distearate, brighteners, perfumes, water, potassium chloride, citric acid, sodium silicate, and potassium pyrophosphate. |
