Plastic container, esp. a polyethylene bottle, has a protective innr coating based on an epoxy resin esp. an epoxy resin pre-condensate and partially etherified phenolic resins. - This coating stops the diffusion of certain substances, e.g. esters and perfumes, through the polyethylene walls.
