PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid fuel having a high exothermic amount though using sludge as a raw material, and being low in heat accumulating ignition property and dust explosion property.SOLUTION: A solid fuel is a granular material obtained by drying a sludge, wherein the proportion of particles of ≥1 mm and ≤5 mm in particle diameter is ≥80 mass%; the moisture content is ≤30 mass%; the exothermic amount is ≥4,000 kcal/kg. The solid fuel preferably contains a surfactant and a microparticulate synthetic resin or rubber. The sludge preferably contains an active sludge and a latex. |
