<p>The vehicle for the launch and recovery of boats has a box girder framework consisting of two parallel longitudinals joined at the front by a V-shaped member and near the back by a cross -bar. A towbar projects from the front. At the back, stub axles extending from the crossbar steerable wheels. Bolted to the longitudinals are U-shaped girders, opening inwards, in which run rollers carrying the V-shaped forward support platform so that this can be moved as required by the keel length/form. The support platforms are set on springs and pivoted to tilt sideways. They are fixed on either side of the framework by arms whose lower ends are movable between parallel transverse plates, perforated so that the arms can be set ip in different positions. Forward of the wheels and the after supports are two outriggers on transverse axles carrying foot plates with a locking bar to hold them in or near the vertical.</p> |
