The plant has a boiler (1) with an oil or gas burner (2), a number of closed pressurised type expansion tanks (3), a circulating pump (4) and flow and return headers (10, 11). These are mounted with all the necessary interconnecting piping and valves in a casing (17). The casing is of fire resisting material and is lined on the inside with acoustically insulating material (16). It has an air inlet (14) for combustion air and openings through which the flue and the water flow and return pipes pass. These connections are arranged through the sides of the casing as as to maintain the acoustic and fire resisting characteristics of the enclosure.
