The workpiece holder has flanged body fited in a T-shaped groove of a workpiece table. The body having a vertical inclined guide surface. A displaceable clamping jaw (50) is attached which likewise has a downwards extending inclined guide surface (58) which works in conjunction with that of the body. A hole runs parallel to the steeply-inclined surface through the clamping jaw, and is a clearance fit for a screw which works in conjection with a thread in the main body (10). A base section has two additional side pieces (12) which fit into the T-groove of the workpiece table. A tapped hole (24) runs through the body and contains a pressure screw (26) which screws into the floor of the T-slot, locking the additional pieces (12) in it.
