<p>Washing machine switchgear for wash and spin speeds of the drum comprises input and output shafts, reduction gears, and a centrifugal clutch with locking members which are effective even above clutch-engaging speed. The lock consists of a slotted link member in a switching flyweight in which is guided an axial switch pin mounted on the clutch flyweight. Associated with the slotted link member inthe flyweight is a lock which coacts with the switch pin and which is formed by a separate latch mounted pivotably on the flyweight. Pref. each latch consists of a one-arm lever with a curved upper edge pointing away from the centre of gravity, and profiled flanks. The switchgear has a simple structure and reliable functioning, and provides different speeds from a single-speed motor.</p> |
