The telephone console can be rotated at a given height to two desk positions and two worktop positions. The console arm extends outwards for use at the worktops and the four positions are in cruciform layout. An additional arm, above the telephone console arm, pivots independently and has a carrier plate for a microfilm reader apparatus. This, also, can be extended by means of telescopic tubes, which have spring ball type and stops. The main support tube is welded to the base and individual support tubes fit inside the main tube for each of the pivot arms with plastic anti friction sleeves. The electrical contact for telephone and microfilm reader is achieved using slip ring contacts. |
