<p>The round bar cutting machine incorporates a shaping device for production of non-round pieces of wood from tree-trunks. It has a one-way roller assembly and a blade head rotating above the trunk axis and a shaping device behind this and lengthways guiding elements for engagement in the shaped sections of the trunk which deviate from the geometry of the circle. The lengthways guiding elements (30) are in the form of panel-shaped units (31) engaging or gripping the shape. They run along the trunk axial line and at least bridge the intervening space between two adjacent pairs of rollers (25, 26, 27).</p> |
