<p>The cutter mechanism parts off transversely a continuously incoming strip of paper, sheet etc, being particularly for lamination machines. It has one or more parting knives travelling along a circular path, and protruding at a predetermined point into the plane of the incoming strip (28, 30, 32) so as to carry out the operation. The knife can extend along one side of a supporting shaft (16), whose drive is actuated so as to cut to the desired length by a control unit (24) receiving impulses from the strip material. The knife, preferably together with the shaft, can be adjustable in the axial direction, across the strip. There can be two knife shafts is separate and parallel planes which are adjustable.</p> |
