<p>The car seat (2) is supported on pivoted arms (8, 4) at the front and read redges on each side. The arms are shaped as cams and have ratchet profiles (20, 21) which are engaged by locking teeth (22, 23) at the ends of two locking arms (32, 33) released by a single hand lever (27). The cam arms are sprung to lift the seat. The driver releases the lever and shifts his weight to set the required height and inclination. The system has few components, with the ratchet cams and the locking levers stamped from sheet steel. It is simple to operate with only one lever and provides a secure seat mounting.</p> |
