<p>The cooker is supported on two rectangular metal frames (1, 2), one at the back and one at the front. Each is made from an angle or channel iron bent into shape. They are joined together at the bottom by two transverse bars (5) along the bottom of the sides of the cooker. Each frame has gusset plates (41, 43) by means of which it is attached to the oven casing (3) which runs from front to back between them. The casing also serves the purpose of stiffening the assembly. The enamelled front, sides and top are subsequently bolted to the framework formed by the frames, oven and transverse bars (5). This method of assembly avoids imposing thermal stresses on the enamelled parts.</p> |
