Fabric fluid treatment process - using a pre-treatment zone and alternating active and passive zone in the treatment bath

The fabric is placed in a pre-treatment zone to lei flat in a film stream of the treatment fluid and then carried into the treatment bath to be transported through in serpentine coils. As the fabric floats through the bath it passes through a series of active and passive zones untl it describes a curved path towards the end of the treatment. The treatment zone in the bath and the location of the folded fabric are variable. Process ensures that the fabric is fully satd. with the treatment fluid and allows the treatment fluid to be recirculated at the rate of 0.8-2.0 times per minute so that extracted chemicals can be removed and the temp. held at a constant level. Treatment is e.g. swelling the fibres, imposing a chemical reaction or diffusion of chemicals within the fibres, or loosening the molecular structure.
