Level indicator for sealed pressure vessel - has float operated lever attached to metal diaphragm actuating switch

The level indicator gives external indication of the level of liquid in a sealed pressure vessel. A float resting on the liquid surface is attached to one end of a lever (44) whilst the other end is screwed to a flexible metal diaphragm (16). The other side of the diaphragm is connected to a rod (46) which carries a block (46) which in turn actuates the switch (36). The diaphragm (16) is clamped over a hole (12) in the flange (10) of the pressure vessel by the retainer (32) and bolts (34). The diaphragm (16) is sufficiently flexible to withstand the angular motion of the float lever (44).
