<p>The vessel with lid is for analytic tests on fluids, particularly urine samples, and has a pouring spout (1) in the lid. The spout is originally sealed by a tip (13) which is cut or torn off. The spout is tapered and of oblong section, and mounted near the lid edge (4). When the lid (3) is fitted over the vessel edge, it grips it and forms a watertight seal. A flexible link (42) can also be provided, joining the lid to the vessel. The vessel is of larger diameter at the top than at the base and both vessel and lid are made of plastics. The vessel is easily filled and sealed, and cheap to produce. It allows hygienic handling, and can be discarded after analysis is completed.</p> |
