The master may be in the form of a painting book contg. inlays of colourless or fainly coloured textile structures consisting of water-repellent synthetic fibres, e.g. cellulose triacetates, synthetic polyamides, polyacrylonitrile and aromatic polyesters such as polyethylene terephthalate Pref. the painting book contains, apart from the painting masters, woven or knitted fabrics of aromatic polyester fibres. After the paper masters have been painted, the resulting mirror image can be transferred to the textile structure to appear the right way round, using an iron, with a transfer temp. of 150-250 degrees C and a transfer time of 15-60 secs.
