Elastic seal between building components - with lip shaped part fitting second component and adaptable to wide tolerance range

The elastic sealing section, of rubber or similar material, (1) is for sealing a gap between two building components, as used in a door or window and is firmly clamped on or in one component. Part of its surfaces fits against the other to be applicable over a wide range of tolerance. The sahped part fitting against the second building component is in the form of a lip (5). When in position, the free end of this is drawn into the actual shape and fixed in place, dependent on the width of the gap at a point facing the lop projection. Fixture may be affected by a shaping of the lip end like a serrated batten (6), while the counter surface is corresp shaped.
