Lost formwork concrete ceiling panel erection safety provision - with edge fittings for guardrail posts subsequently covered by concrete

The panel-shaped ceiling element is made of concrete, and used as lost formwork in building construction. It is designed to facilitate the legally requisite provision of a safety guardrail while work is in progress. One or more bearing components (3) for the posts (4) of a guardrail are fitted, in one or more edge areas, in such a way that they are covered when the layer of site concrete (6) is applied. Claws (5) may be provided, to anchor the bearing component in the ceiling element (1). The component may be in the form of an open socket, or a lug. The guardrail can be very quickly mounted by inserting the posts and connecting them with horizontal bars, no scaffolding being needed for this work.
