The motor vehicle headlight unit for two incandescent bulbs has a parabolic main reflector. An additional reflector is parabolic shape is fitted into the main reflector. The focal points of the two reflectors do not coincide. One of the bulbs produces a dipped light beam and the other one produces an undipped beam. - The additional reflector section (11) has three pins (14, 15) which project through matching holes in the main reflector (1). Two of these pins have circumferential grooves engaging the clamping spring (17) on the rear face of the main reflector. This spring can be made from steel wire.
