<p>The fire protective mechanism, for use in an air duct, comprises a screening flap, on a rotating mounting, in a frame with connecting flanges for attachment to a duct section. A stop batten protrudes inwards from the frame, with the flap lying against this in the closed position. The internal length and breadth of the frame exceed the length and breadth of the fire-screening flap (26), and the stop batten (46) projects inwards beyond the edge of the flap. The battem may be made of fire-resistant material, and screwed to the frame. It may have a whole-length attachment fitting against the frame inside walling, partially filling the space between this and the closed flap.</p> |
