<p>The smooth, accurately-sized pre-oaded plastic hose fits exactly over the smooth end of the connecting adaptor. Tail projections retain the two parts axially. A thin flexible sleeve envelops the joint and the interlocking projections as far as the connecting nut (7). The suction hose pipe (2) is fitted over the connector tail (4), as far as a shoulder face (5). The tight sleeve (3) seals the shoulder and hose outer surfaces, covering the junction (9) and tail projection (11) holes (10). In the interlocked region the tail is oval in section, and the pipe bore is slotted normal to the projections. Diametral pressure using pliers displaces the clearances to around the projections, for pipe and connector separation.</p> |
