The plug is reliable, and consists of two or more sections (1 & 2) with a central web (3). The outer sections are pressed inwards as the plug is forced downwards (b) into the hole. For larger holes a cross shaped or star shaped plug is formed by using two or three plugs superimposed on one another. When pressed into position the star plug can only be turned in one direction.
