Ring for gym nastic use layered either parallel to or transverse to the axis when viewed in profile. There are at least two, preferably three or more layers including a reinforcement in the ring's interior which may be made from metal wire embedded with plastic material. Alternatively, the core of the reinforcement may be made from glass fibre resin material with steel as the metal part. The outer and inner layer may also be made from organic materials and the layers may be made from different materials such as wood, plastic, pressed wood fibre or rubber.
