The antiburglar mechanism for roller shutters consists of a locking piece (20) mounted on the building side while on the shutter itself is at least one release lever (30) which is engaged with two slats (4) so that when the chink (14) is closed, it can withdraw from the slats in a stop position. When this happens, the locking-piece is located on the course of the release lever. The locking piece is preferably mounted on a support with a catch to hold the locking member in a rest position, the locking member being moved to its operative position by a spring.
