PURPOSE:To provide the title antiulcer agent effective for the therapy and prevention of ulcer of human digestive organs, esp. stomach, containing, as active ingredient, a bis(aminothiocarbonyl)disulfide compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective antiulcer agent containing, as active ingredient, a bis(aminothiocarbonyl)disulfide compound of formula l (formula II represents non-substituted or substituted five to eight-membered saturated heterocyclic group; X is methylene, 2-5C hydroxyalkylmethylene, 1-4C hydroxyalkylimino or 0; A and B are each 0-7C methyl group-branched or non-branched alkylene chain). When to be used, the present agent is prepared for oral administration such as in the form of tablets or capsules or for parenteral administration such as injection. The compound of the formula l can be synthesized, as shown in the reaction formulas, by reaction of a cyclic amine of formula III with an equimolar amount of a NaOH aqueous solution in a solvent under ice cooling in the presence of carbon disulfide followed by oxidation of the resulting compound of formula IV with an oxidizing agent. |
