发明名称 FUEL MODIFYING SYSTEM
摘要 PURPOSE:To minimize a difference in pressure between the inside and outside of a modifying tube which is in operation even during a period of transitional variation by providing the modifying tube with an inside/outside differential pressure detector and adjusting the opening of flow control valves in compliance with signals from the detector. CONSTITUTION:In a fuel modifying system in which a mixture of raw material fuel such as hydrocarbon and methanol and steam is introduced into the inside of a modifying tube 2 so that it is brought into contact with a catalyst, while combustion gas obtained by combustion of a mixture of exhaust gas from a fuel cell and air in a combustion chamber 3 is allowed to pass along the outer surface of the modifying tube, thereby modifying the raw material fuel into a hydrogen-rich modified gas, the 1st flow control valve 20 branching off from a combustion exhaust gas line 13 and the 2nd flow control valve 21 branching off from a modified gas line 12 are provided. When the inside/outside differential pressure of the modifying tube 2 exceeds a reference value, the 1st valve 20 is opened so that combustion exhaust gas is released to allow the pressure on the side of combustion exhaust gas to lower. When the differential pressure exceeds another reference value, the 2nd valve 21 is opened to allow the inside pressure of the modifying tube 2 to lower.
