Hot plate welding seams of reproducible quality are obtained on samples of plastic foil by an electromagnet which pulls the sample, mounted on a holder, into the welding jaws against the force of a spring. At the same time a camshaft presses the moving jaw through a knee joint against the sample to complete the weld. A limit switch then cuts out and the spring raises the completed sample. |
