Antibacterial and fungicidal S-phenylthiocarbamates

Fungicidally and bactericidally active thiocarbamates of the formula: <IMAGE> where R1 represents a methyl, methoxy, halo or trifluoromethyl group; R2 represents hydrogen, a methyl, methoxy, chloro or nitro group; R3 represents hydrogen or a methoxy group; and R4 is an ortho- or para-hydroxy group. The compounds find particular use as slimicides and as preservatives for various industrial preparations.
