1462549 Hydraulic jacks SCAMBIA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENTS AG 17 April 1975 [25 April 1974] 15868/75 Heading F1D In a hydraulic jack of the type shown in Figs. 1, 2, the piston-rod 3 is retracted by unscrewing a bolt 20, which allows liquid to return to a reservoir 2d through passages 19, 18 past a valve member 21, and, to accommodate the bolt at a convenient angle, the rolled base-plate 1 is bent upwards in the region through which the bolt 20 passes. The bolt is unscrewed by a handle 12 which is also used for operating the punch 8. The angle of the bolt 20 to the horizontal is between 5 degrees and 20 degrees. The base-plate 1 is of steel and is deformed cold. |
