A hand-tool, e.g. pliers, cutters, tweezers, or probes, includes a strap of adjustable length whereby the tool can be mounted on a single finger of an operator such that several tools, so mounted on separate fingers of a hand, can be brought into selective use by the fingers and thumb. The strap may comprise two cloth or plastics strips 25, 26 carrying respectively hook and loop material, one end of each strip being secured to the tool and the other ends forming an adjustable length loop 24. The strips are secured to the handle of the tool by passing slots 27 in the strips over hooks 22 formed on a dished plate 20 welded or soldered to the tool where the tool is a pair of cutters, which may have angularly offset nose portions (33), (Fig. 4, not shown), a dished plate 20 may be provided on each arm so that the strips can be attached to either. A spring 18 urges the cutter jaws open and also limits the degree of opening. |
