1537536 Combined gas and electric stoves B G T DANIELSSON 30 Nov 1976 [3 Dec 1975] 49855/76 Heading F4W A camping stove comprises gas burners 12, 13 controllable by knobs (16, 17, Fig. 2), electric heating elements 4, 5 controllable by knobs 14, 15, electric supply circuits for elements 4, 5 including a microswitch 21, a gas supply line for burners 12, 13 including an electromagnetic valve in circuit with a microswitch 23, and a cover 18 slidably movable from a first position in which it closes a switch 21 to energize the electric supply circuits and covers the gas control knobs (16, 17) to a second position in which it closes the switch 23 to open the gas supply line and covers the electric control knobs 14, 15. The switches 21, 23 are spring biased towards their open positions. Thus the stove cannot be operated simultaneously on gas and electricity. Each element 4, 5 is hingedly mounted on a stove top 3 for movement from a vertical position to a horizontal position in which it rests on a removable stand 10, 11 in a recess 6. 7 in top 3. The gas supply line is in use connected to a gas container. |
